Through these soft sculpture studies, I explore the ways in which an embrace can be a source of comfort while also (sometimes unintentionally) be a way for us to control ourselves and others. This internal contradiction distorts our twisted preception and longing for that love and security. These pieces became a way for me to create the tactile feeling and physical weight these concepts carry.
